I enjoy working on music for specific performers or groups — I literally imagine them playing the music as I write it.
There is no set formula, and I must admit that I am reluctant to make decisions very far ahead. My guiding principles are firstly that I have to be passionate about and deeply involved with the music I am to play, so that I can share it with others effectively
