There are so many different kinds of success. I like to say that the biggest compliment a composer can receive is a good first performance. Knowing I have the motivation and desire to keep writing music means I’ve succeeded in making a good career choice. I don’t think there is one definition of success. There is a path to being a musician – being passionate about the music, the instrument, the composers and their works. I think every musician has his or her own way of expressing this passion
