‘I think it’s easy to forget how much we owe to our teachers and mentors. The musician that I am today comes from being inspired and encouraged by my teachers.’
‘The most fulfilling thing is working with young people who are at the early stages of their engagement with the music we sing – they are still fresh to it, and it’s wonderful to see it through their eyes.’
‘Stay true to who you are and what you want from your music making’
‘Always stay curious and allow for unexpected moments in your working process. When you build in flexibility when writing, you can often find surprising results that you wouldn’t have otherwise.’
