I love the process of actually creating a score.
I want to put myself in a position where my ears are ´wide open’ to the quirks, random incidents and ‘happy accidents’ rather than being totally focused on the composition in a conventional sense. To me, this opens a door to a much larger canvas, so to speak.
I am happy with any work that reaches the point of completion. Like any good parent I have no favourites.
I see music as about communication (what else can the arts be?) and for that one needs clarity of images and ideas; through this one reaches towards the strangeness that lies beyond our quotidian existence.
