Love music and let yourself be intoxicated by art.
As well as musical influences, everyday life and occurrences influence me. What I bring to the stage is not only my performance and understanding of the music, but my personality, experience and perceptions. The work I do is affected by everything I encounter and perceive. The greatest pleasure comes from being a living breathing artist. From playing live, connecting with and making an audience laugh and cry. It’s what I always wanted… to connect. I remember my father telling me that if I my job was the thing I loved most in life, I’d be the luckiest person alive….
Do it with passion, and trust and listen to yourself. Be sensitive to the trends but do not be overwhelmed by them – continuing making your own sound and style, and remember that practicing over and over again can only make you better.
