From a personal point of view, through my work with quietnote, I try to teach the value of just listening to a piece of music. That means giving the music your complete attention, not whilst driving, cooking, or on your phone – simply sat listening.

Dare to think outside the box. Be yourself. Remember, the purpose of music is not to impress, but to connect.
One needs to approach music with an open mind. Do something outside of music too to stay grounded and humble and to not be voluntarily confined to an echo chamber such as conservatoire.
