Who or what inspired you to take up the guitar and pursue a career in music?
Well, I started studying guitar at the age of 8. My first approach was through popular music and after some years playing in a rock band, I started to study the classical guitar technique (at 14), My then teacher Ernesto Bitetti was a big influence in those years.
Who or what have been the most important influences on your musical life and career?
Firstly the teacher I mentioned, Ernesto Bitetti, but then I discovered all genres in classical music and during my youth I listened to symphonic music, chamber music, opera, etc and of course guitar music, but always kept my enthusiasm for diverse genres within popular music (rock, flamenco, Argentinean tango, etc).
What have been the greatest challenges of your career so far?
Perhaps playing for eminent musicians, many of whom I ended up working with: Alberto Lysy, Astor Piazzolla, Andrea Griminelli, Lalo Schifrin, Carlos Franzetti, Daniel Binelli, Elmer Berstein, etc
Which performance/recordings are you most proud of?
Difficult to reply! In general I always prefer the last recording I made, in this case my latest album (released April 2017).
Which particular works do you think you play best?
Perhaps those that have a lyrical character and those with roots in popular music too.
How do you make your repertoire choices from season to season?
In general I choose the music I really enjoy playing, but I also think about what would be attractive for the audience. Also, I have always been interested in offering new music, new works and in that way I’ve premiered many pieces written for me (solos, Concerti, etc). On my latest album 13 out of the 16 tracks 13 are pieces written for me.

What is your most memorable concert experience?
Perhaps playing with violinist Alberto Lysy at Colón Theatre (I was 25 years old)
What do you consider to be the most important ideas and concepts to impart to aspiring musicians?
For me the main concept is try to be yourself and try to find your personal voice and your own way…….I consider the teacher only as a guide who must help the student to find his/her own way…
