As a composer, I draw concepts from numerous resources inclusive of classical composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, and in addition, to current musicians like Hans Zimmer and John Williams. Additionally, I’m encouraged by using conventional Chinese song, contemporary tendencies in pop culture, and the dynamic evolution of the Chinese song enterprise. The special challenges of working on a commissioned piece are the client project brief requirements have somewhat difference of which I thought of.

The special challenges of working with particular musicians are they have their own requirements or expectations of the final musical compositions and if I really need to collaborate with them on certain projects, most of them doesn’t align with what I wish to focus on and have to call off the projects. Only for other musicians or singers lesser expectations and requirements but because they are royalty-free and willingness to complement my music and able to complete those collaborative pieces.

How do you work?
